ЕCOLOGICAL ASPECTS IN THE WIND ENERGY INDUSTRY
NOISE
Wind energy generators produce two types of noise:
- mechanical noise (noise from the work of different mechanical ñomponents)
- aerodinamical noise (noise from the interaction of the blades and the wind flow)
Source of noise |
Noise level , db. |
algetic upper level of the human ears. |

Laws in the UK, Germany, Holland, Denmark, limit the noise level produced from a working wind turbine to 45db at day time and 35 at night. The minimum distnace between a generator and residential building is 300m.
